Estimate™ Mobile is an iOS app designed for creating and managing estimates and diagrams, available at no extra cost with an active Workspace™ and Estimate™ account. This FAQ covers account setup, device compatibility, core features, and support resources.
1. Getting Started & Account Management
Is there a subscription price for Estimate Mobile?
The app is included at no additional cost if you already have an active Workspace and Estimate account.
How do I create an account?
Accounts cannot currently be created directly within the app. To register and set up your account, please visit Claims Workspace.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Simply select “Forgot Password” on the Login page and follow the provided instructions to reset your password.
How do I change my email address or username?
You can update your account information by navigating to your Profile within Claims Workspace.
What devices and operating systems are supported?
The app is supported on Apple devices specifically the iPhone, iPhone Pro, iPad, and iPad Pro. Requires iOS 16.4 or later.
What is included for Android users?
Currently, Android users can utilize the CAPTURE app. While the legacy Mobile Claims Smartphone app is technically available, its use is not encouraged as it is no longer supported. Based on user demand, Estimate Mobile could be supported on Android in the future.
What languages are supported in the app?
The app currently supports English, French, German, and Dutch. You can change the app language from the Login screen.
Can I use the app on multiple devices?
Yes, you can be logged into multiple devices simultaneously. However, please be mindful of ownership rules. If you have ownership of a diagram or estimate on one device and switch to another, you will not be able to edit it until you release ownership on the first device.
2. Core Features & Usage
How do I use the LiDAR scan?
To use the LiDAR scan, start by creating a floorplan. If you are using a Pro device, you will be prompted with an option to either manually draw or scan. Select "Scan" to begin. Please note that the LiDAR scan feature is only available on Pro devices.
Can I use the LiDAR scan for roofplans and exterior plans?
No, the LiDAR scanning feature currently only supports floorplans.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes, the majority of the app's features are fully functional offline. However, your data will only synchronize with Workspace and Estimate once your device is back online.
Can I share my completed estimate?
Absolutely! You can print your estimate to a PDF and share it via text or email, or save it directly to your files to share later.
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Why is my data not syncing?
First, verify that your device has an active internet connection. Additionally, you must keep the app open to allow the upload process to Workspace to fully complete.
Does the app support the Apple Pencil for drawing?
Yes, you can use the Apple Pencil to manually draw diagrams within the app.
If I have a keyboard and/or mouse for my iPhone/iPad, can I use them in this app?
Yes, you can easily connect a Bluetooth or wired keyboard and mouse to your iPad. This is also supported on iPhone but requires you to enable AssistiveTouch in your iPhone’s Settings.
Does the app integrate with Bluetooth laser tape measures (e.g., Leica, Bosch)?
We do not currently support Bluetooth laser tape measure integration, but we are actively tracking user feedback for future updates. If this is a feature you'd like to see, please submit a feature request!
Is the app better suited for an iPad or can I use it easily on my iPhone?
The app has been designed to provide a great experience on both small iPhone screens and large iPad screens. If you have access to both, we recommend using the iPad for its larger display, as diagramming and estimating are naturally easier on a bigger screen. However, the iPhone experience is highly optimized to emphasize the most critical actions based on the context of your current work.
How do I update the app to the latest version?
You can check for updates in the Apple App Store. We recommend enabling Automatic Updates on your device so the app updates regularly without requiring manual action.

How do you use my personal data, and do you share it with third parties?

5. General
What is the difference between Estimate, Estimate Mobile and Mobile Claims Smartphone?
Estimate: Designed for use on your PC.
Estimate Mobile: Built specifically for your iOS device.
Mobile Claims Smartphone: A legacy application and is no longer supported. We strongly encourage all users to transition to Estimate Mobile for the best experience.
What happens to the CAPTURE app?
For iOS users, Estimate Mobile is meant to be a full replacement and enhancement of the CAPTURE app.
For Android users, the CAPTURE app will remain available and will continue to receive maintenance and stability updates; however, active new feature development is currently focused only on Estimate Mobile in iOS.
What features are available in Estimate but not available in Estimate Mobile?
