October 2025 USDC Update
November 4, 2025
Cotality has published an update for the October 2025 US pricing database files in Cotality Workspace and Estimate.
What Was the Issue?
An anomaly was discovered that caused the line-item efficiency calculations for certain items related to cleaning to be applied incorrectly in estimates created using October pricing databases. This resulted in an increased application of labor hours, leading to higher unit costs for these cleaning related items. We understand the importance of accurate estimating in the claims process. Cotality is available to work with customers who have specific concerns about estimates created during this period.
Immediate Actions and Resolution
We have taken the following immediate steps to address and resolve this issue:
- November Pricing: The issue has been corrected in the November 2025 pricing database files. All estimates created going forward using the November pricing will have the correct efficiencies applied to line items and will calculate the correct unit costs.
- October Pricing: Cotality has created October 2025 - UPDATED pricing database files for all US markets. The only difference between the original and UPDATED October pricing databases is the application of labor efficiency for the affected cleaning items.
Accessing the Correct Pricing Data
Both the original and the October 2025 - UPDATED pricing databases will now be visible to users within Claims Workspace and Estimate platforms. This dual availability offers flexibility in managing both finalized and in-process estimates:
Finalized Estimates Created with the original October 2025 pricing database | Users may choose to utilize the original October - 2025 pricing database to ensure revisions do not inadvertently affect the ACV and RCV values of the previously included cleaning items. |
New or unfinalized estimates using October pricing | Users may select the October 2025 - UPDATED pricing database to ensure the identified items related to cleaning are priced with the accurate labor efficiencies applied. |
Our Commitment to Quality
Cotality is committed to providing reliable data and continuously improving our processes. We have implemented additional quality assurance measures in our database publishing workflow. These enhanced procedures are designed to further strengthen our quality controls going forward.
