A clean install refers to reinstalling Estimate® (Mobile Claims) as though it was the first time it was installed on your computer even if it had previously been installed. There are a few steps to follow and must be followed in order to be able to perform a clean install.
Before starting this process make sure to release ownership of all claims to prevent any Red X / ownership issues.
Step 1 - Uninstall Estimate® (Mobile Claims)
a) Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
b) Find where it is installed and uninstall the software
Step 2 - Rename the old Folder
a) Go to the old Symbility Folder. By default...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Symbility Mobile Claims or
C:\Program Files (x86)\CoreLogic Mobile Claims
b) Rename this Folder by adding .old to the end (or even better, the date)
Step 3 - Rename your Registry*
a) Go to windows search and type "Regedit" and click ENTER
b) Once in Registry go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Symbility Solutions Inc. > Symbility Mobile Claims
c) Rename the folder by adding .old to the end (or even better, the date)
*You may need assistance from your IT helpdesk to access or rename your registry key.
Step 4 - Reinstall
a) Once the first three steps are done you can now install the software once again. Go to Workspace® and login
b) Download Estimate®
c) After downloading install Estimate®
NOTE: Clearing the registry resets preferences
