Make an Estimate Active in Claims Estimate

Question: I have been unable to drag items into estimates after finishing my floorplans. The error message states “To add items, you must create a new estimate or set an existing estimate as active.


What steps should I take?


Answer: There are two potential reasons for this.

  1. You do not have any estimates in the Estimates section of your claim structure. To add an estimate, right-click the word Estimates in the Claim Explorer and choose “Add Structure” from the options that appear.

  2. There is no active estimate. The active estimate within the claim will be shown in a bold font. To activate an estimate, right-click the estimate in the Claim Explorer and choose “Set as Active” from the available options. Remember, you can only set an estimate as active if you own that estimate.
